Option 1: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Sciences or Engineering plus 2 years verifiable Corrosion work experience in the refining industry
Option 2: 4 years verifiable Corrosion work experience in the refining industry

Core exam requirements
Certification Exam-Refining Corrosion Technologist Exam (NACE-RCT-001)
Certification candidates have four (4) years to complete all requirements, including a successful completion of the exam, and an approved application with the required work experience and education requirements.
