Specialty Program

Representing the highest level of certification offered by NACE International Institute, specialty certifications are awarded to individuals who are highly experienced, knowledgeable, and capable of performing work and at an advanced theoretical and practical level in the following corrosion and corrosion control disciplines.

MR0175 Certified User Carbon Steel (CS) Certification

Demonstrates a working knowledge of NACE MR0175/ISO Standard in relation to carbon steel including technical knowledge of the standard as well as its implications.

Demonstrates a working knowledge of NACE MR0175 /ISO Standard in relation to corrosion resistant alloys including technical knowledge of the standard as well as its implications.

Corrosion Specialist

NII's highest certification, for very experienced corrosion control personnel with broad and extensive expertise in both the theory and practice of multiple areas of corrosion and control. Certification holders are able to perform work at a very advanced level.

Protective Coating Specialist

For those performing at an advanced theoretical and practical level in corrosion prevention and control in the protective coatings field. Areas addressed include creating paint maintenance programs, conducting site surveys, and reviewing bidders lists as well as understanding safety, environment and health issues.
